गुरु वही है जो शिष्य के हृदय में भगवत् प्रेम, नाम जप और भक्ति की भावना जागृत कर दे।
सच्चा गुरु अपने शिष्य को अपने समान बना देता है और उसे जगत कल्याण के लिए तैयार करता है।
गुरु का कार्य पोस्टमैन जैसा है – वह ईश्वर का संदेश शिष्य तक पहुंचाता है।

गुरुमंत्र देने का अधिकारी कौन है?

गुरुमंत्र देने का अधिकारी वही है जिसे उसके गुरु ने अधिकृत किया हो।

केवल वही संत या महापुरुष गुरुमंत्र दे सकते हैं, जिन्हें उनके गुरु ने दीक्षा देने की अनुमति दी हो।
गुरुमंत्र केवल एक परंपरा या वंशानुक्रम में ही दिया जाता है, जहां गुरु अपने योग्य शिष्य को दीक्षा देने का अधिकार सौंपता है।
बिना अनुमति या अधिकार के कोई भी व्यक्ति गुरुमंत्र देने का अधिकारी नहीं है।

शास्त्रों के अनुसार, गुरु वही है जो स्वयं सिद्ध हो, शास्त्रों का ज्ञाता हो, और शिष्य के कल्याण के लिए समर्पित हो।

गुरु का कार्य केवल मंत्र देना नहीं, बल्कि शिष्य के जीवन में परिवर्तन लाना है।
दीक्षा के लिए शिष्य की पात्रता, उसकी श्रद्धा, समर्पण और साधना का स्तर भी महत्वपूर्ण है।

दीक्षा की प्रक्रिया और शिष्य की पात्रता

गुरुमंत्र या दीक्षा केवल औपचारिकता नहीं है।

शिष्य को दीक्षा लेने से पहले गुरु के आचरण, उपासना पद्धति, और मार्ग को भली-भांति समझना चाहिए।
शिष्य को अपने हृदय की भावना स्पष्ट रूप से गुरु के समक्ष रखनी चाहिए – जैसे किस इष्ट में उसकी प्रीति है, किस मार्ग में उसकी श्रद्धा है।
यदि शिष्य और गुरु के मार्ग में सामंजस्य नहीं है, तो दीक्षा के बाद श्रद्धा टिक नहीं पाती।

श्री प्रेमानंद जी महाराज के अनुसार,

यदि किसी को राम मंत्र मिला है, लेकिन बाद में कृष्ण में प्रीति बढ़ गई, तो उसे अपने भाव के अनुसार मार्ग चुनना चाहिए, परंतु पहले मिले नाम का भी सम्मान करना चाहिए।
गुरु बदलना या नाम बदलना केवल रसास्वादन या दोष-दर्शन के लिए नहीं होना चाहिए, बल्कि सच्चे भाव और आंतरिक प्रेरणा से होना चाहिए।

गुरु-शिष्य संबंध की गहराई

गुरु-शिष्य संबंध केवल बाहरी नहीं, बल्कि अत्यंत आंतरिक और आत्मिक है।

सच्चा शिष्य वही है जो गुरु के वचनों का पालन करे, उसकी आज्ञा में रहे, और उसके दिए हुए मंत्र में पूर्ण श्रद्धा रखे।
गुरु की कृपा और शिष्य की निष्ठा – यही साधना की सफलता का मूल है।

श्री प्रेमानंद जी महाराज के अनुसार,

यदि शिष्य को अपने गुरु के संग से दोष-दर्शन होने लगे, तो उसे दूरी बना लेनी चाहिए, परंतु निंदा या द्वेष नहीं करना चाहिए।
नाम जप और साधना में निरंतरता और श्रद्धा बनाए रखनी चाहिए, चाहे नाम कहीं से भी मिला हो।
