क्या भगवान् व देवी देवताओं की खंडित मूर्तियों को पीपल पेड़ या फुटपाथ पर रखना ठीक है? Is it okay to keep broken idols of Gods and Goddesses in Peepal trees or at intersections in the house?

प्रश्न : पूज्य गुरुदेव, घरों में दीपावली की साफ़ सफाई के बाद देवी देवताओ की पुरानी तस्वीर आदि पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे डाल देते है, मन को बुरा लगता है, आप कोई सन्देश दीजिये, जिससे लोग समझ सके.

पूज्य महाराज जी का उत्तर

जो भगवद विग्रह हमारी देवी देवता के है, हमारे पूज्य है. खंडित हो जाने पर भी विग्रह हमारे ही प्रभु के है. अगर हम उनको विसर्जित करते है, जैसे तीर्थराज प्रयाग, गंगा जी, यमुना जी है. धाम के निकट कोई न कोई पावन नदी रहती है.

तब तक आप उसको सम्मान पूर्वक रखिये, जब तक आपकी कोई तीर्थ यात्रा नहीं होती. जहाँ पावन नदी है, वहां आप उसको सम्मान के साथ प्रवाहित कीजिये.

हमारा कोई प्रियजन अगर पूरा (मृत्यु) हो जाता है, उसकी भी अंत्योष्टि आदि की जाती है, ऐसे ही कोई उसे चौराहे पर या पीपल के नीचे छोड़ देते है. हमारे प्रभु के श्री विग्रह को हम पुष्प माला में आवेष्टित करके नाव में बैठे और बीच नदी में जाकर उनको भाव से विसर्जित कर दिया. यह हमारी पद्धति है.अगर आप देवी देवताओ के विग्रह को ऐसे ही रख देते है, जहाँ गन्दगी पड़ रही है, तो आपके सुकृत नष्ट होंगे.

आप अपने सामान को बेचने के लिए उसमें भगवन नाम या रूप दे देते है, आप निमंत्रण कार्ड में भगवान् की छवियां छाप देते है. ये अपराध है. ऐसा करने से भगवान की छवि तिरस्कृत होती है. यह वही भगवान तो है, जिन्हे हम सिहांसन में विराजमान किये है. वो ही भगवान की छवि अपने नाम के साथ पोस्टर में छपवा लेते है. पोस्टर लगा, प्रोग्राम ख़त्म हुआ, पोस्टर फाड़ दिया, पोस्टर नालियों में पड़े है. इसी से बुद्धि भ्रष्ट हो जाती है. भ्रष्ट मतलब जो हम सत्मार्ग में आगे बढ़ना चाहते है, उसमें बुद्धि नहीं चलती और मान, सम्मान, रूपये, पैसे, भोग, वासना में राजी हो जाती है. हम तो प्रार्थना करते है कि छवियों का पहले आदर करना सीखो. आपको लगता है कि अब हम प्रभु की नई छवि विराजमान करे, तो पुरानी छवि को पावन तीर्थ में प्रवाहित कर दीजिए. या फिर नदी के पास जैसे किनारे बालू होती है, वे धारा ही है, वहां उनको विराजमान करके रज से ढक दीजिये. अब जब प्रवाह या बाढ़ आएगी तो बहा लेगी या जल में विसर्जित कर दीजिये. कोई पवित्र सरोवर है, उसके पास कर दीजिये.

अब आपने इधर उधर दाल दिया, तो प्रगट में कोई जीव तिरस्कार करे, जैसे पशु कुत्ता है, उसे ज्ञान नहीं है, आप पीपल के नजदीक रख दिए हो, वहां वे लघुशंका भी कर सकता है. और जब खंडित मूर्ति है और आदर बुद्धि से कोई देखता नहीं है, यह सब ठीक नहीं है. इसका सुधार करे, नहीं तो बुद्धि गिर जाती है, बुद्धि अपवित्र हो जाती है.

बुद्धि ख़राब होने का ही उदहारण है कि लोग नशा करके गाडी चला रहे है. छोटी छोटी बातो में अपना जीवन नष्ट कर रहे है. जरा सी बात में गुस्सा आ जाता है. जरा से लोभ के लिए दूसरे की हिंसा कर दी. मनुष्य जीवन बहुत कीमती है. बुद्धि अपवित्र है, इसलिए आपको कीमत नहीं समझ आ रही. एक एक सेकंड अमूल्य जीवन है. बुद्धि पवित्र होगी तो सब मिल जाएगा. हर कार्य शास्त्र सम्मत किया जाए. तो उससे भगवान की कृपा मिलती है. चैन से जी सकोगे. भगवान का नाम बुद्धि ठीक कर सकता है. जैसे सुबह उठकर गायत्री मन्त्र करते थे. सूर्य देव को अर्घ करते थे. बड़े बुजुर्गों को प्रणाम किया. थोड़ी देर गीता रामायण भागवत का पाठ किया, बुद्धि शुद्ध रहती थी. भले कोई मन्त्र नहीं आता लेकिन भगवान को अर्पित करके पाते थे. जूता पहन के पा रहे है. ना स्नान किया है. ना पवित्रता का बोध. बस पशु की तरह पेट भरना है. येन केन प्रकरण धन कमाना है और वासनाओं का खेल खेलना है, यह जीवन रह गया है.

हमने मान लिया यह हमारे भगवान् है, कही भी मान लो, छूट है. हमारे धर्म की यही तो महानता है. आप किसी पशु में मान लो. किसी वृक्ष में मान लो. आप किसी ईंट पत्थर में मान लो. क्योंकि हमारे भगवान सर्वत्र है. मानो तो बस जोर के मान लो. वही से भगवान् प्रगट हो जाएंगे. बड़े बड़े संतो के चरित्र आते है. कह दिया ये भगवन है, वो भांग का सिलबट्टा था, धन्ना जाट को, उनने मान लिया यह गुरुदेव ने कहा है, उसी में भगवान श्याम सुन्दर के दर्शन हो गए. हम क्या प्रभु को सिर्फ छवि भर मानते है, तब ही फुटपाथ पर रख देते है. क्या तुम अपने प्रिय के साथ ऐसा कर सकते है. शास्त्रों में जो लिखा है उसको अक्षर अक्षर पालन करो वर्ना बुद्धि लडख़ड़ा जाएंगी और गिर जाएंगे. अब गिरा हुआ पुरुष जानता नहीं कि कहाँ गिर रहे है. जो चल रहा है, उसको पता है, यहाँ लड़खड़ा रहे है, यहाँ गिरना होता है.

Question:Pujya gurudev ji, After cleaning the houses during Diwali, people puts old pictures of Gods and Goddesses under the Peepal tree. I feel bad. Please give a message so that people can understand.

The idols of God that belong to our Gods and Goddesses are worshipable by us. Even if broken, the idol belongs to our Lord. If we immerse them, like Tirtharaj Prayag, Ganga ji, Yamuna ji. There is some holy river near the Dham.

Keep it with respect until you go on a pilgrimage. Where there is a holy river, make it flow with respect.

If any of our loved ones dies, we cremates them. etc. We does not leave them at the crossroads or under the Peepal tree. Similarily We should wrapped the idol of our Lord in a flower garland, sat in the boat and immersed it in the middle of the river. This is our method. If you keep the idols of Gods and Goddesses like this, where there is dirt, then your good deeds will be destroyed.

You put God's name or form on your invitation card to sell it, you print God's images on invitation cards. This is a crime. By doing this the image of God is despised. This is the same God whom we have seated on the throne. They are the ones who get God's image printed along with their names on posters. The poster was put up, the program ended, the poster was torn, the posters are lying in the drains. Due to this the intellect gets corrupted. Intellect corrupt means that when we want to move forward in the right path, our intellect does not work in it and it gets satisfied with respect, honour, money, enjoyment and lust. We pray that you first learn to respect the images. You think that now we should enshrine the new image of the Lord, then let the old image flow into the holy place of pilgrimage. Or like there is sand on the banks of a river, it is a stream, make them sit there and cover them with sand. Now when the flow or flood comes, it will wash it away or immerse it in water. If there is any holy lake, take it near that lake.

Now if you have spread it here and there, then any living being may make urinate it in public, like an animal like a dog, it has no knowledge, you have kept it near Peepal, there it may even have a little suspicion. And when the statue is broken and no one looks at it with respect, it is not right. Correct it, otherwise the intellect falls, the intellect becomes impure.

An example of impaired intelligence is that people are driving under the influence of drugs. Ruining your life in small things. Gets angry over small things. People committed violence against others for a little greed. Human life is very precious. Your intellect is impure, that is why you are not able to understand the value. Every second is a precious life. If the intellect is pure then everything will be achieved. Every work should be done as per scriptures. So one gets God's blessings from him. You will be able to live peacefully. Wisdom can heal, God's name. Like he used to recite Gayatri Mantra after waking up in the morning. Used to offer water to the Sun God. Saluted the elders. Read Geeta Ramayana Bhagwat for some time, mind remained pure. Even if one did not know any mantra, one could get it by offering it to God. Is able to wear shoes. Haven't taken a bath. No sense of purity. Just want to fill the stomach like an animal. We all are busy about earning money and playing the game of lust, this is what life is all about.

We have accepted that he is our God, you are free to believe anywhere. This is the greatness of our religion. You consider it in any animal. Suppose in a Taurus. Consider it as a brick or stone. Because our God is everywhere. If you believe, just believe it out loud. From there God will appear. Characters of great saints appear.
